Transition,Transpareny,Trust and Timing

Transition
As many of you know we have had a change of plans as to what country we will be going to serve the Lord!  A little history... On February 14th, while driving to Spokane, Josh and I had a conversation in regards to the fact that as we waited on the Lord for our visas, we wondered if He had something else in mind for us.  Little did we know that within the hour we would receive an e-mail that said we would not be going to Ecuador. 
A few years ago when we went to TMM in North Carolina for missions training, it was only a month before our departure that we even had a clue we would be going there.  We had other plans.  Then last year, it was only a month before we went to language school in Texas that we found out we were going there.  We had other plans.  In less than a month we are going to Zacatecas, Mexico and, until recently, we had no idea we would be going there!  We had other plans! 

Transparency
This time of transition has been filled with a lot of prayer, reading the word, talking as a family, discussing fears, changes, and what-ifs.  For all of us we had made Ecuador home in our hearts and minds yet the only thing that kept coming to mind was that there is nowhere on this earth that is our home.  Do we fully understand that?  No, but we can know that God's word is true and we either believe it all, or not any of it.  We are choosing by God's grace to believe Him fully.  Does this mean we don't ever fail in our thoughts and actions regarding our circumstances?  No, it means that daily we have to make a choice to serve Him in that moment, not knowing what tomorrow may bring or dwelling on what we thought yesterday was promising.  We can only wake up each day and cling to Christ letting Him determine our steps.  That is how we have been living and we believe that no matter the circumstances of life, that is what God calls us to here or wherever we live!

Trust
The trust we have gained in Christ during these last few weeks has been transforming.  We were reminded of this verse in Romans 11:36 which says, "For from ,and through Him, and to Him are all things.  To God be the glory forever. AMEN. " As we confirm in our lives that we are believing the "from Him", and the "to Him" and the "through Him" are all things, only then can we say "to God be the glory forever Amen."  Those three phrases cover it all.  God is sovereign!  If we believe this, we can trust Him for the rest.

Timing
We have purchased our tickets and will be leaving for Zacatecas, Mexico on March 27th.  Please be in prayer as this time approaches rapidly.  Josh will be in Mexico with the Youth Group of Soldotna Bible Chapel from March 5th-16th, so we have a lot to prepare for in the short time after he returns.  The logistics of moving your family to another country can be daunting.  We will be re-renting our house, selling a car and trailer, as well as packing up the last of our misc. items.  Please pray for us in the next few weeks!
