THE LIFE OF TRANSITIONS FROM THE EYES OF AN 8 and 360/364ths YEAR OLD!

This  week we have been painting, cleaning,  buying and so much  more!

We   went   to Aguascalientes  which  translated  means  "hot water".  It is a two hour drive from  Zacatecas . In  Aguascalientes   we  went to a mall were  we looked   at furniture    and things for our house.

At  almost   every  stop   light   there are people  asking to wash  your   window   for   money .   If you don't   want them to  wash  your  window   you   have  to shake  your  finger  vigorously   at   them .     Even   then  they  might still wash it.
We got to climb up  on  the roof  of   our   house and mom  was  scared to death  but  me and  Hattie  loved it.  This is the view from our rooftop.

We   got to  paint  our  own  room  it was   a little bit of  a mess!  Me,  Hattie and Dad  painted  some  wooden fruit crates that we bought for 50 cents each  and  made them  into  shelves .

Just over one week ago I got a dog!  I have been waiting for two years to get a dog.  She is 6 weeks old and is a white mini French toy poodle.  Her name is Sugar and mom and dad are making me train her.  She already goes in her kennel, sleeps outside on the patio at night and "does her business" on the paper we leave out for her.  She has been a lot of work, but I am soo happy!
A few days ago we lost electricity for a while and just last night we ran out of water in our house.  We are still without water 16 hours later.

Yesterday we found the car we are going to buy.  Dad wanted a Volkswagen that we saw but mom and me talked him into a Honda.  It has more room in the back for me and Hattie, and any visitors that come to Zacatecas.   If you want to come, just let us know.  :)  We get to pick it up next Friday.  The man who is the manager of the car lot we bought it at is our neighbor across the street.  Dad told him if we have any problems with the car we will just knock on his door.

My birthday is in 4 days on the 16th of May.  I am going to be 9.  The dog I got was my birthday present.  Hattie's birthday is on the 20th of May and she is going to be 7.  She got a doll house that was built by the same man that built most of our furniture in our house.  Dad and mom took him a picture off the Internet and he built it exactly.   We are having a birthday party together on Friday with some of our new friends here.  I think we are going to have a pinata.  There are so many different ones to chose from.  The only problem is I don't like the candy here.  Everything is coated in chili flavor.

Well I have to go now.  Thanks for reading my thoughts.  Have a wonderful day.

  1. Wow! Thanks for the fun video tour of your new home Grace and Hattie! It was SO FUN to see and it was super exciting to me! It was so BEAUTIFUL and so different from anything you have lived in before isn't it? I loved seeing you and Hattie talk in her interview by you. Super neat girls. Thanks for sharing all this with us. Tell your Mom and Dad we loved it and we will continue to pray for you that you will keep seeking after God as you go through all this readjustment to your new home. God is Great! May He bless you with every good thing.~Amiel and Bill Severson
