Hattie- 5 years old
Grace-7 years old
We are enjoying the adventure of our time here at TMM! The girls love each moment as they play at the lake, ride their bikes and get really dirty on a daily basis. Hattie has learned how to ride her bike with no training wheels and Grace is swimming like a fish in the lake. It is fun to see them reach new life milestones and experience their joy and tears in the process. We recently had fun defining all our names yet we were worried not knowing the meaning of Hattie's name. After some research we found it to mean, "ruler of the home." Of course Hattie loves sharing that with people often:) Hattie is determined that she will be a cowgirl when she gets older. She received a oufit, hat and boots for her birthday in May and wore them all for about 2 weeks straight. Grace got to experience her first real bike wreck a few weeks ago. I think it ended up being kind of cool for her to a real black eye to show off.
The sounds of summer come in many ways up here in the mountains of North Carolina. We enjoy the peace of the cool summer breeze and awe inspiring crashes of the thunder and lightening. These storms are such an amazing display of God's power and might! It has been different to hear all the night sounds and see all the crawling critters. Yet in each of these moments God is teaching us how to trust and rely upon him more!
Josh has been working hard on his final project, drafting a house. It is a very time consuming project and requires much detail and patience.
We look forward to getting back to Salem in late August.
