The sun has been shining this week and the weather a little colder. I love the sights, smells and sounds of Fall. In our cabin with the windows open it sounds like a storm of rain and wind only to look out and see a storm of leaves falling everywhere. A few fires started in the stove and a pumpkin treat baking in the oven. It is officially Fall!
We have been learning so much new stuff our brains and bodies are getting worn out. This past week we had a representative from Answers in Genesis here. He taught 2 days on creation and 3 days on Eschatology. It was very good and we both learned a lot. We had another field trip this week to sheep and goat farm. We learned about the basics of taking care of these animals and how to prevent disease and mal-nutrition.
On Wednesday we went to Snow Bird Church and enjoyed a family Hay Ride and fellowship. We are looking forward to the annual Harvest party as we have planned a family costume for the first time this year.
Grace and Hattie continue to be a little socialites. They have both made many new friends and seem to adapt and enjoy kids of all ages. Grace has been reading, playing lots of new card and dice games and enjoys working in school on her math facts. Hattie has been learning to write all of her letters, playing with Polly pockets and also enjoys all the games Grace plays. Both girls have adjusted well to life here and continue to be a joy to Josh and I.
Through the transitions here we have had moments of questions as life gets hard. However, both Josh and I know that God is continuing to lead us in the direction of remote missions. We are not sure where yet but are excited and ready to go when the Lord reveals that to us.
Please pray specifically for:
- Hattie she has been fighting a bladder infection and we are praying that it does not get bad.
- Continued discernment about where the Lord wants us to serve him.
for His glory,
Heather Dunn
